How can we recruit new members

Recruiting new members

I believe we need to encourage a more personal approach in recruiting new members. Current members should be actively 'selling' the benefits of memberships.
we could also use considerable more publicity as to what we are doing as an organization that benefits our career field and the children/families we work with.
I think the bags that participants received at the Spring 2007 conference were great. Have we ever given thought to bumper stickers, members pins or anything like that?
What do you think?

I agree Nancy, we should take a personal approach. I work in wright city now as a full time Parent educator and have met many people in the field of early care and educatoin and very few have even heard of Aeyc. I think the organization as a whole needs more PR. A friend of mine just bought a child care center off of 94 and she has never been involved in RBAEYC I am going to talk her into it.
